MDHPC Camp 2 - 5 August

Thank you very much to all those who responded to my last email on this subject. Overwhelmingly, the response to the idea of moving Camp dates was positive, and several people said they would not be able to manage Camp this year if it clashed with Chagford Show. A couple of members, however, have already made their holiday plans and would not be able to attend on the revised dates.
The importance of Chagford Show is not simply that it is the only one that takes place in Mid Devon country, but that several Pony Club parents are involved every year in helping to stage it. Asking them to play their part in Camp over the same period is simply not feasible and neither the Show nor Camp can manage without such support.
We have therefore decided to move Camp to the new dates of 2-5 August 2010, with many apologies to those whom this will not suit. We are really sorry that the muddle over dates arose in the first place, relieved that we can rectify it and please most of our members, and very sad that we have to disappoint the others.
More details of Camp will follow in due course. Thanks very much for your patience and understanding.
